Here's one really good piece of news for the fans of Diablo III: the latest AMD Catalyst driver receives a nifty fix that promises to solve some of the reported errors.
With only 5 days left until Diablo III is officially released around the world, the AMD Catalyst 12.4a hotfix is a truly welcome appearance which addresses game-related issues that were encountered with legacy graphic cards.
Namely, we're talking about AMD-powered video cards in the HD 2400, 2600, 2900, 3400, 3600 and 4500 series, which were “producing certain artifacts in Diablo III with (our) latest release of Catalyst 12.4” as AMD declares.
This issue has been reported only by users running Windows Vista and Windows 7 both 32-bit and 64-bit editions, with XP systems being unaffected. AMD notes that the problem has been solved and users who experienced it should be able to fully enjoy playing Diablo III with no more hassle, both beta and final release.
