You told us that you wanted to be able to buy things on Xbox Live using money instead of points, and soon it will be a reality.
The Xbox team wants to make the transition easy. After the next Xbox 360 system update, when you go to buy something or redeem a Microsoft Points code on your console, we’ll add to your account an amount of currency equal to or greater than the Xbox Marketplace value of your Microsoft Points, which will be retired. Still have Microsoft Points cards? Don’t worry. We’ll continue to accept purchased Microsoft Points cards and codes until further notice – they’ll just be adjusted to “real” currency as described. Plus, all those Microsoft Points you earned through Xbox Live Rewards will transition to local currency as well.
