Internet Explorer Challenges Gamers with Atari Arcade Battle Royale at PAX Prime

Every year, gamers and geeks alike descend upon PAX Prime in Seattle to check out the latest in the gaming industry. Last year at PAX, the Internet Explorer team and Atari debuted the Atari Arcade, a set of classic games including Pong, Centipede, and Asteroids, beautifully reimagined in HTML5 for touch and the modern web.
This year, we’re back with a challenge to the gamers of PAX. Who has what it takes to get the highest score in a challenge across three of the most iconic Atari games? For attendees who come to battle at PAX, we’re giving away a free trip to the Tokyo Game Show 2014 to find out. We call it the Atari Arcade Battle Royale.

Throughout all four days of PAX, gamers who visit Internet Explorer’s space on the show floor will have the chance to try their hand at our challenge. The games making up the Battle Royale are Centipede, Missile Command, and Asteroids. Players will have 60 seconds in an accelerated level of each game to score as many points as they can. Your total score across all three games is what counts.

If your score is in the top 20, your name goes up on our scoreboard for everyone on the show floor to see. The player with the highest score at the end of PAX, will get a free trip to the Tokyo Game Show 2014 to experience the largest video game convention in the world.
